If you live in big cities, it dont matter what model you buy and how much you pay for an item because... there are too much of the FM frequency is used.
Plus you got powerfull signals everywhere to make any low power FM transmitter work. It should work just fine inside the car.
I use this exact model on the Pacific coast and works perfect on almost all frequencies available.
In fact the specs are precisely shown and it gives 100% signal up to 60 Ft and I was able to use it 70 Ft away.
The car or AC power may cause a problem and it's worthless. So, use batteries and they will last fairly long time.
Any FM transmitter, no matter who makes it WILL have a buzz, static if you use ANY KIND of power supply, other than batteries.
It's the nature of these things and there are no miracles make it stop.
My advice is to buy the cheapest one and if it don't work, toss it.
I see other places this very same model sells for $34.00 and more!
Nuts.
I bought many of these kind of units for a lot more money ($100.00) and don't work any better than this unit.

once a bit sceptical as to how well this would work but am pleased with the results so far. The audio quality is good but not perfect. It's very easy to use. So far, I have only used it in areas where an open FM frequency was readily available. If in New York, LA, etc. that could be an issue but I'm very happy with it.

I had looked for an FM transmitter for a couple of weeks, and was pretty discouraged after reading review after review of terrible experiences. I didn't know what to think about the reviews for this one, but for the price I figured it was worth a shot.
