Introduction
Installing a wireless mouse for your laptop PC gives you an extra level of convenience. Using the touchpad on your laptop for long periods of time isn’t practical, but setting up a mouse and keyboard every time you unpack is a little annoying. With a wireless mouse, there’s no extra set-up once it’s installed on your computer.
Step One
Insert new batteries into the battery compartment of your wireless mouse.
Step Two
Position the wireless receiver least eight inches away from your laptop, and between eight inches and six feet away from the mouse.
Step Three
Insert the driver CD for your wireless mouse into your CD drive.
Step Four
Follow the on-screen instructions to install the mouse driver.
Step Five
Connect the wireless receiver to the USB port on your laptop.
Step Six
Test your new mouse by moving it around on your screen and clicking a few icons.
