Retail e-commerce sales in Western Europe will rise by 36% this year, and experts predict the market is going to double in three years’ time. UK is the clear market leader, followed by Germany and France. Although Italy and Spain at this moment only account for less than 10% of the market, by 2010 these two countries will set the pace of growth.

Bad News for eBay in China (AuctionBytes)

eBay launched a new shopping site on Wednesday called DoorOne in four countries: the UK, France, Germany and Australia. The DoorOne sites are currently identical to eBay’s comparison shopping site Shopping.com in terms of features, though it sports a different design and branding. eBay launched DoorOne because it does not own the Shopping.com URLs in all countries.

PayPal has added a feature to its Multi-User Access functionality. Multi-User Access is a permissions-based feature that allows business owners to give unique access levels to different employees within the same PayPal account.
PayPal has now added an additional multi-user access permission that will give account holders the ability to allow certain employees to speak to Support on behalf of their businesses. Microsoft’s Zune music player looks a lot like an iPod, acts a lot like an iPod and will cost about the same as an iPod. The software giant said that it will charge $249.99 for the device, signaling that it isn’t planning to spark a major price war to gain market share.
Microsoft plans to debut the portable music player and its companion online music service in November in the United States.
