This Pre-trigger cords with Switch is used to trigger your camera connected to your Pocket Wizard Receiver. It also keeps the camera "awake" ready for the shot. When you want to view the photos, Switch off the pretrigger and the camera operates normally as if no cord were in the camera. You can now view and edit your pictures normally. - The Pocket Wizard Pre-Trigger Cable keeps the camera "awake" all the time, which is the same as continually holding the camera's shutter release down halfway. This reduces "lag" time and gives you faster camera response.
- Experimentation with your camera's autonomic functions is the best way to determine an operation mode suitable for your situation.
- 1. Plug the motor drive cord into the camera.
- 2. Plug the mini-phone connector into a PocketWizard Receiver, Time Machine, WaveSensor, or other triggering device.
- 3. If you want the camera to respond more quickly and accurately, position the cable's switch in the Pre-Release position. A drawback to this mode of operation is the likelihood of draining the camera's batteries at an accelerated rate. If the cable's switch is set to the Normal position, the camera will respond in a standard fashion.
